Coaches

Ross Fields.


Head Coach

Biography:

Coach Ross is a native of Indianapolis, where he played volleyball winning state championships in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. He then continued playing volleyball at Purdue University where he studied French Education and History. Upon graduating Purdue, he began coaching and teaching in the Indianapolis area. Coach Ross also spent a year living in Montpellier, France while teaching English and coaching volleyball at Clermont-Herault VBC. He most recently coached NC Volleyball Academy 18 Crystal last season, and previously coached at Indiana Volleyball Academy as a 14-1 and 18-2 coach and Asics Team Indiana as a 10-1 and 17-2 coach.  He also served as Head Volleyball Coach and French Teacher at Knightdale High School of Collaborative Design this past year. 2016 will be his first season coaching volleyball at CHHS, where he will continue to teach French and Social Studies.

Assistant Coach

Biography:

"Growing girls in sport and in life. Learning something every day." Coach Stam played volleyball for thirty years: high school, college intermurals, USAV women's club, and co-ed competitive rec. She has been coaching club volleyball at NC Volleyball Academy since 2013 and is USAV IMPACT and CAP Level I certified. 2019 will be her fourth season with CHHS Volleyball.

Assistant Coach

Biography:
Coach Lee is a 2011 graduate from North Carolina State University with a degree in Biological Sciences.  He is very excited to combine last years experience as head coach for NC Academy's 16's regional plus team and the coaching knowledge he gained through teaching swim lessons/ swim team at the YMCA.  He started playing volleyball while in college where he excelled in intramural sports and played with the club volleyball team.  Since 2011, he has played volleyball (indoor, grass, and sand) with multiple leagues and organizations in the Triangle area including USAV, Volley America, WCVC, Premiere sports, Trisports, and Town of Cary. During this time Lee was captain of three teams and won multiple tournaments in Wilmington, Columbia (SC), Greensboro, and Raleigh.

Assistant Coach

Biography:
Coach Sandra is from Cape Cod Massachusetts and has been playing volleyball for over 30 years. She started playing volleyball in middle school, then high school, and also college volleyball at Alfred University, right side hitter and setter. She transferred to Arizona State University and played intramural while completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology. While working at Mayo Clinic in Arizona for 16 years in Clinical Research, in 2010 she completed her Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from University of Phoenix. During this time she also participated in sand volleyball co-ed competitive and recreation leagues from 2004 through 2015 through the City of Scottsdale, AZ. 
 
Sandra has been coaching youth volleyball since 2008, and specifically coaching club volleyball since 2012. The 2016-2017 season will be her fifth year coaching club. She has coached 16U, 14U, and 12U. Sandra is IMPACT and CAP I certified and will be seeking her CAP II certification in the months ahead. She currently works at Duke University in the Department of Anesthesiology as Senior Grants and Contracts Manager.
